It was announced by Twitter that a preliminary tally of Tuesday's shareholder vote revealed that nearly 98.6 percent of votes cast supported Elon musk buys twitter for $54.20 per share in cash.

In response, the firm reaffirmed its commitment to moving forward with the transaction "at the agreed price and terms." After Elon Musk said in July that he was abandoning the contract, Twitter sued him to compel him to reconsider.
